Rating Artists

As well as being able to view gigs and artists the system allows users who have logged on to rate artists out of ten and the average rating of all users is displayed next to the artist in a graphical form; one to five stars (including half stars).

A user cannot rate an artist twice (that wouldn't be fair, one user one vote) but they can change their original rating at any time. When they change their rating their latest rating is displayed as the default.

The total number of users who have rated the artist is also displayed. The rating system is entirely democratic and artists who see their rating on the website should be made aware of this.

Of course, if they want a higher rating they could encourage their friends to rate them highly (perhaps by sending them an email). Because you cannot rate an artist unless you have created a login this will necessitate them providing you with their email address and they will be automatically added to your mailing list.
